Consulting, Workshops, Speaking & more!

  • Research Accessibility Consulting

I offer research accessibility consulting for academic researchers who want their work to be meaningfully inclusive of neurodivergent people. This includes reviewing your research materials for ND accessibility and providing lived experience consultation, bringing both professional expertise and personal insight to your project. I have been involved with multiple different research projects relating to autism, improving the accessibility and topics covered in the research.

  • Speaking, panels, conferences and events

Looking for an OT with lived experience to provide a talk or be part of a panel? My key topics and neurotypes i can provide this for are: Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Chronic pain, Chronic illness (due to my lived experience), fatigue & sensory.

  • Technology, Project, and Research consulting

As an Occupational Therapist and consultant, I support developers, designers, businesses and creators in making apps, software, products, spaces, businesses, and content accessible and welcoming for neurodivergent users.

Whether you're building a new product from scratch or refining existing tools, I can help evaluate accessibility from a neurodivergent perspective, review content for clarity, and guide design choices around how people actually process information, interact with interfaces, and experience digital environments.

This includes situations where creators have good ideas e.g like wanting to build sensory or executive function supporting software, but may lack deeper understanding of how sensory processing works or what would support best regulation.

  • Workshops & talks for business, organisations , healthcare services, charities & more

As a neurodivergent occupational therapist with lived experience, I bring something to a workshop or talk that clinical knowledge alone can't, an understanding of what it actually feels like from the inside.

I offer in-person and online workshops, talks, and panel contributions for employers, HR teams, charities, event organisers, and healthcare settings.

Common topics include nervous system regulation, reasonable adjustments, environmental adaptations, fatigue management, creating your own support toolkit, and more- all grounded in both OT expertise and real lived experience.

In-person sessions are available nationwide (travel costs apply). Online delivery also available. Email me for a free quote.

  • Small Business Accessibility Audits

I work with small businesses and practices to audit both your physical environment and digital presence, identifying practical changes that make a real difference to your neurodivergent clients. Get in touch for a free, no-obligation quote.

I provided a sensory consultation for a local dental practice, working with the team to identify sensory barriers across the patient journey, from the waiting room to the treatment chair, and recommending practical adjustments to make appointments more accessible for neurodivergent adults. This included strategies to support neurodivergent adults with day-to-day oral hygiene, both in and outside the clinical setting.

    Their Feedback:

"I had a meeting with Alex today and she was super helpful! She really helped me understand the barriers neurodivergent people face and gave an insight on how to help overcome those within the dental setting. I found the shared screen with information particularly useful as it gave me something to come away with and expand on. Everything was explained and discussed with care and in a clear way and Alex is very friendly and easy to chat too, and definitely very knowledgeable."
